Building Community Connections in the Bay Area
Junked: Powered by Veterans® is continuously looking for ways to integrate into our local community. We strive to build relationships with local Bay Area residents, businesses, and non-profits. As we continue to grow our business we plan to volunteer, attend local events, raise money for local veteran non-profits, and give back to our local community. You can check in to see what is new and we will continuously post updates of our efforts.
Non-Profit Partnerships:
- Delta Veterans Group: We will be donating a portion of our revenue from all junk removal services to the Delta Veterans Group to support their “Stand Down at the Delta 2023” event. In addition, we will also be volunteering at the event.
- Disabled American Veterans: We are active members of the DAV and we connect our employees with DAV service administrators to ensure our veterans are receiving the services and treatment they need to thrive in society.
- Make It Home: We donate usable furniture and household from our removal services to Make It Home Bay Area so they can furnish more homes of those in need.
- Joybound People and Pets: We were community sponsors for the Joybound Around Town event in May 2024 and will be hosting a joint community event with Joybound’s Shelter to Service Program in September 2024. The goal of the event will be to raise awareness and donations for the Shelter to Service Program, which trains service animals to pair with Veterans.
