Building Community Connections in the Bay Area
Junked: Powered by Veterans® is continuously looking for ways to integrate into our local community. We strive to build relationships with local Bay Area residents, businesses, and non-profits. As we continue to grow our business we plan to volunteer, attend local events, raise money for local veteran non-profits, and give back to our local community. You can check in to see what is new and we will continuously post updates of our efforts.
Non-Profit Partnerships:
- Delta Veterans Group:
Over the past 4 years we have donated, volunteered and supported the Delta Veterans Group and their “Stand Down at the Delta” events which provide homeless Veterans in the Bay Area different services, supplies, and support. - Disabled American Veterans:
We are active members of the DAV and we connect our employees with DAV service administrators to ensure our veterans are receiving the services and treatment they need to thrive in society. - Habitat for Humanity Restore:
Repurposing and keeping items out of the landfill is part of the mission for us as a Green Certified Business. We donate furniture and household items to Habitat for Humanity Restore whenever possible based on the condition of items and space available at the donation center. - Joybound People and Pets:
We have partnered with Joybound on multiple occasions and are always happy to help their cause and events whenever possible. We have sponsored their Joybound Around Town event in Walnut Creek and also hosted a joint community event with their Shelter to Service program which trains and pairs service dogs to Veterans.
